The death of Magtheridon

Well, well, well. Look who took a tumble. Magtheridon couldn’t take the beating that we gave.  Good work to everybody.

Gruul is dead! News at 11:00

We caved in Gruul’s chest and shattered his soul. Grats to everybody. It was a tough fight and we pulled it out.

Kara cleared in one night!

I remember back in April when we started venturing into Karazhan.  We never thought that we could clear Kara in one night. I mean come on we couldn’t even get Attumen and Midnight down in the 25 minute window. Now we’re downing Moroes and Maiden in 4 minutes. So since the first time we downed Prince on May 25th we have done a full clear of Kara in one night.  It took roughly 4 hours.  We didn’t have any wipes and were having a ton of fun.

Well it looks like another of our guild mates got their account hacked.  So I figured I would talk about the new Blizzard Authenticator. I just got mine on Saturday and its been working great.  I have it on my keychain so I don’t forget where it is.  I ordered it from the Blizzard store on June 30th when I read about it on Wowinsider.com. Once I got it I logged into my account on the WoW website. There is a link for Blizzard Authenticator in the main options. It will ask you for the 10 digit code on the back of the device.  Once you do that your authenticator will be attached to your account.  Every time you login in WoW or the WoW website you will need it.  After you enter your username and password you will get a box just like the one pictured. Click Okay and that is it.

Now there is a downside.  You will need this with you every time you want to login to WoW.  If you lose it you will need your copy of WoW and have a long chat with support to get the device remove from your account. Though for piece of mind I am more then willing to go through the downside if it ever happens.

Take a look at this Wowinsider article on how to safeguard your computer and account.

Note: Right now it is sold out.

Well it looks like Blizzard is getting on the ball with it’s authentication method.  They have just announced and released the Blizzard Authenticator.  It is a key fab that you have to have with you each time you want to log into WoW.  It is another layer of security that will stop your account from being hacked.

Once you order it you will need to attach it to your warcraft account.  Once you do that you will need your authenticator with you everytime you want to login.  You will still need your password, but now you will be prompted for the code that is on the authenticator. When you hit the button it will give you a code that is good for 10 seconds.
